Jeremy Gilson
Secretary
Jeremy and his wife Angela fell in love with Cornwall in 2012 on their honeymoon and quickly got interested in seals after reading “Seal Secrets” by Sue Sayer. They started volunteering for the National Trust at Lizard Point and met the hub team who told them all about SRT and the amazing work done by the charity.
Jeremy started to work on seal albums and become Hub Coordinator for Lizard and was then delighted to take over the role of SRT Secretary in January 2025. As well as sending out the monthly invitations to Seal Sessions, Jeremy also joined the SRT Strategy Team.
As well as volunteering for SRT and the National Trust he is also a Marine Mammal Medic and National Rescue Coordinator for British Divers Marine Life Rescue. He previously volunteered at RSPCA West Hatch for two seasons looking after seals that were going through rehabilitation.
Jeremy is passionate about seals and wildlife; he is a keen photographer and surveys at West Cornwall East.
